Hi all, I am newly diagnosed hypothyroid and waiting on antibody results. When can I expect my symptoms to resolve and what brands work best?

Thanks

Every person is different. Some only like one brand, some only like another. Some people don't seem to notice changing brands, but it's not a good idea as they are not bio equivalent. So you start on one, if you find it ok, stick on it

There seem to be more complaints about Teva, but if lactose intolerant then it's possibly the best option

Did you start on 50mcgs

Always take Levo on empty stomach and then nothing apart from water for at least an hour after. Many take on waking, but it may be more convenient and possibly more effective taken at bedtime

Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after each dose increase.

Would you like to add your TSH, FT4 and FT3 results

Plus have you had vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested?
