I have really low bpm. I have always known it is low and can feel dizzy even when sitting. Since using a fitness tracker this has demonstrated how consistently low my resting heart rate is. My highest average bpm in one day is 51 and the lowest is 38. These measurements have been taken over the last 3 weeks. I am 65 quite active and slightly overweight. I struggle with my weight and wonder if it could be a thyroid issue.

Ransomjl,
It could be. Ask your GP to check your thyroid levels. My sister's low heart rate was due to being under medicated on Levothyroxine.
Is your blood pressure low as well. Adrenal gland has something to do with that. This man explains it all. youtube.com/watch?v=SDphVgA...
I have a low BP anything from 40/105 to 68/ 114. I spoke to my DR and he told me not to worry unless I had a problem.
If I did, sit down and wave your arms about for a few minutes.
Take more salt can help raise you BP but talk to your Dr first
Mine is about 100/60. I searched around online, and I think mine is just on the border of the normal range. So yours is slipping below it. Doctors are so negligent, I'd want to be seen by a specialist to confirm nothing is wrong!
You really should be seeing a doctor as soon as poss.
Hi
I had/have this dependant upon thyroid, could set of heart attack monitors in hospital if I relaxed as could be in th 30s of bpm.
Is your temperature low too? If yes, see Dr could be Hypothyroid, but need to be properly diagnosed as bradycardia is dangerous if gets extreme
Paul
Low pulse has correlation with hypothyroidism. So does low BP. And hypothyroid is also correlated with low adrenal function. I would highly recommend that you have the full thyroid panel for suspected hypothyroid: TSH/FT3/FT4/rT3/TPOAb/TGAb. Do not (DO NOT!) allow some ignorant doctor to tell you that just TSH is sufficient; TSH is a poor diagnostic tool, and virtually worthless for treatment.
