what could be causing my skin allover to be salty for a few years now! Now there are actual crystals forming in the hollows of my neck and my ears! It washes off, but keeps coming back! I spoke to my PC a while ago, and he said he knows what it is, but never shared it with me!when i brought it up recently, He said he doesn’t remember the conversation, and doesn’t know what to do abot it! Marin5,
It's just the salt crystallising when your sweat dries.
google.co.uk/search?q=can+s...
not perspiring, I can wash my hands and wrists and a couple of hours later I put my tongue on my wrist and it has strong salty taste. the artical says if your waterintake is more than salt, well, my sodium is always low andI have a problem drinking enough fluids, so ???I can’t figure?Thank you for your response?
Your body will sweat and you may not feel it as the purpose is for cooling, the sweat drys and so cools the skin. Salt's will be held in the sweat and if you are sweating this may be the cause of your sodium being low.
The body is very good at creating homeostasis and this includes the level of sodium to fluid in the blood.
What do you mean that you have problems drinking enough fluids? This would mean that you have a higher concentration of salt to water in your blood and your body will then increase the amount of salt in your sweat.
Sweating can be a side effect of many conditions.
Thank you Shufflebunnie sounds likely!
