Does anyone notice a difference between synthroid versus levothyroxin? I've been on levo but dr wants me to try synthroid (name brand) to see if it helps move my numbers.

Yes i react differently to different brands of t4. One gives me severe headache whereas the other one my brain can function fine but gives me puffy face.

Might not be the easiest way of finding out, but all USA levothyroxine products are described at link below. Including description of tablets:

dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/

For example, USA Sandoz delivers considerably more levothyroxine than the same dose of Synthroid. So switching to Synthroid might effectively reduce your dose. Is that what is intended?
