Half thyroid removal

I gad half my thyroid removed 3 weeks ago a week later had an infection and had to have a drain fitted. I have had the drain removed but constantly feel blocked and sick. Also my results have gone to a professor as they have come back 1% malignant. I don’t no what to think has any one had similar experiences ?

I'm sorry you've had an infection and hope you're feeling better now.

If it is a small papillary cancer you may not need further treatment or it may be sufficient to keep your TSH suppressed <0.1 to reduce the chance of cancer recurring.

My nodule was also malignant and because of risk factors ie size of tumour, type of cancer and my age it was recommended I had completion thyroidectomy 3 months later.
