Just had T3 refused by pharmacy and GP. Consultant can no longer prescribe.NHS unable to offer T3 for cost reasons. Why is it so expensive and what can I do? Any pressure groups,I have little faith in MPs.

Concordia have a monopoly on T3 and have hiked the price. There is a government consultation around the withdrawal of T3 at the moment. Check out the panel on the right of this page to find campaigns.

Do write to your MP but also to your CCG making your views known. There is a good template letter you can crib from on this forum somewhere.

Are you logging the detail for your complaint? Check out ITT campaign who have been suggesting coordinating the complaints. Find them on Facebook. And TUK have also started a campaign see in pinned posts.

What brand T3 were you on? I may have misunderstood but I believe that it cannot be revoked once prescribed.

New GP? Did you try a different pharmacy or larger company - hopefully you're near or have access to Boots.

At the NHS England consultation in London the representative of the CCG's said that if a GP and/or endo wish to prescribe a drug because of clinical need then CCG can NOT stop them.

But that is not what is happening in reality
