hi I've had under active thyroid for 7 years and throat is itchy and painful with goitre and feel tired and sad, memory worsening and becoming more clumsy. I have been on nothing but 25mcg levo or 50mcg levo or nothing at all. still relatively slim but gone up from a size 6 to a size 10. any help appreciated

I'm fairly new here so will post a very good thread for you to read by one of our more experienced members. It starts out by showing you how to post your current lab results (they are required here to help the forum help you!)

The reply is worthy reading for any newbie as it discusses nutrients - an important topic for us as we are likely deficient by the time we arrive at the forum seeking help . We often have malabsorption issues and that is reflected in both our blood test results as well as our symptoms (why are we still tired? Depressed? Anxious? Memory problems? etc. etc.)

As for bloodtests, when you have your next draw done remember to fast beforehand (water OK) and have no Levo or thyroid dose for 24 hours prior to the test. First thing AM is best.

thanks all blood tests are done fasting and I drink only water. I take no thyroid hormone before blood test and blood test done first thing in the morning

When you have your most recent blood test results on hand start a new post with them listed line by line (with ranges) - as in the example in the link above. That is how we get feedback here on the forum.
