ft3 private test??

So i am thinking about getting my ft3 done by medichecks and just wondered if i need to choose the option of the finger prick sample kit to do it myself at home, and can i actually do the prick test myself and just send it them back? or do i need someone qualified? tia

You do it yourself. That's how I do all my blood tests. They provide you with detailed instructions, be sure to thoroughly familiarise yourself with them, and keep yourself well hydrated and warm beforehand! Helps the blood to flow. It certainly is a great way to get results for T3 that you can't get at the GP's.

Best to have both the FT4 and FT3 tests done together if you need to know if you are converting well ....
