blood pressure
You have to be careful with this. I had lower pressure on the left arm. It turned out to be the subclavian artery was 80% blocked and I had to have a stent put in. Since then everything fine. You should ask for an ultrasound of the arteries. Hope it all works out for you.
i had a heart scan end of last year and all was fine
ill mention it monday
Mandy, just to say, have suffered from fairly high blood pressure for quite a while. I had always measured my BP on the left arm and was quite pleased to note that my pressure had reduced to about 105/70. I happened to mention this to the cardiologist and he said, "well let's see what it is on the other arm...." Sure enough, it was like 135/80. He forthwith ordered an echodoppler or ultrasound of the thorax and, sure enough, found the blockage of the subclavian. Actually, I have since learned that GPs should ALWAYS Measure the BP on both arms - but they never do.....since the stent everything FINE. Wishing you all the best.
ive had diggerent readings on both arms in A/E before and been told its ok, when i see endo the nurse allways checks on both arms, even had both arms checked when i had heart scan and stress test because i allways tells everyone i have a differant reading in both arms and no one has ever worried
