The above link will take you to earlier discussions about Progesterone Cream....perhaps you will find something that will help you.

Are you optimally treated for your thyroid ?

I used Wellsprings Serenity for 5 years after coming off HRT, 5 years on that, and I found it did help and didn't interfere with my uptake of Thyroxine.

Hi Louv,

When do you apply the cream to avoid thyroid uptake interference?

I just applied the cream as per instructions, think it was a pea size blob morning and night. At the time I used to take my thyroxine in the morning but now I take it at night. Because it is applied to the skin rather than taken in tablet form I don't think it interferes with thyroxine uptake, but I can only speak for myself. Many will say the dose isn't high enough to make any difference to how you feel, but I certainly felt better using the cream, it seemed to keep me calm and I was ready to start using it again after my 6 days a month off it! Hope you get on ok with it.

Hi Michelle,I am really troubled with the menopause just now,I have never felt so ill as I did with this, the doctor gave me HRT 2 weeks ago,as I was at the end of my tether I was only sleeping for 2 hours a night for 2 weeks and had migraine headaches that I have had daily for a year and a half all felt nauseated for the same amount of time, I had got sleeping tablets for a week to help but doctor wouldnt give them long term, and before I started HRT I wanted to try a herbal supplement I had heard really good things about, and its been a god send,It has improved my mood as before I would cry at the drop of a hat,I can now sleep which I am so pleased about,it hasn't helped the headaches yet,but have only been taking them for 9 days, they are called Menapol and they are from Simply supplements and are very reasonable priced, read the reviews on them, they are so good

Yes it does worknDr Peatfirldvput me on it years ago and I've never looked back Anne x
