Hi, I didn't take my tablet last night as I had a blood test this morning. Will that affect my blood results?

Thank you.

You did the right thinkg anyway, by not taking your meds last night. If you did so, it would have skewed your readings. 24 hours should elapse after taking thyroid hormones before a blood test.

This was a very important blood test for me because if the results are good, we can start trying for a baby. Hence I got a bit worried.

Everything will be fine, I am sure.

Am I likely to have a higher reading now? Tsh needs to be below 2 :-(

It needs to be an accurate reading, otherwise you will not know for sure.
