It is not that rare for people with hyperthyroidism or who are over-medicated to have zero TSH. Thyroid cancer patients are sometimes kept at that point by taking a relatively high dose of levothyroxine - when it is known as "suppressed TSH".

It is also possible to have such a low TSH if your pituitary gland has been damaged and cannot produce more than a tiny bit of TSH. However, if that were the case, you would probably be severely hypothyroid.

You don't give us much other information - like why your doctor did a TSH test, whether you know you have a thyroid problem, etc.

Okay I had a regular blood screening done by my counselor and they faxed those results to my Dr. My just tsh came back 0.001 so that was a concern and had me go back for blood work on t2 t3 and t4. The results came back today and my t4 was normal but my t3 was a zero. So first he is sending me to cat scan for tumor and if that comes back normal he is gonna getme into a endo sspecialist. I just know it is noticeable in my neck, and no energy and eye site has gone bad and bad depression.

Are you on any medications at all?

They are peculiar results so perhaps the answer is going to be a bit of a surprise. Most doctors would be out of their depth trying to see what is wrong with you. I certainly am. Hope you get that scan and the referral speedily.

I will but I guess this a or could be serious right? Cuz what u said last time about tumor etc sounded scary

Most tumours which affect the pituitary are not particularly serious beyond their immediate effects. That is, if they are caught and removed, that should be it. The word tumour means lots of things. It simply means a growth of cells into a lump.

Kerea, there are three thyroid function tests : TSH, FT4 and FT3. Ask your GP receptionist for a printout of your thyroid results and then post them here for comment/advice.

Okay I had blood we done first and at first it just said tsh 0.001. So he sent me back to get another blood we done on tsh 2,3,4 my 4 was normal but my 3 came back 0 zero. So going in for cat scan if that's normal he is sending me to endo specialist and he said they may have to take some of my thyroid out, biopsy. Or could b anything but he definitely not looking good.

Kerea, I think you have a condition known as hypopituitarism where pituitary dysfunction results in low thyroid hormones. The dysfunction can be the result of a pituitary tumour or decades old head trauma or head/neck radio therapy. Pituitary tumours are usually benign.
