hashimotos for 11 years ,went unstable 7 months ago ,feel terrible , on levothyroxine why cant I get it stabilsed.Feel my life is over.
Oh My God! Your life is not over but you have to get yourself educated - there are other alternatives to Levo - perhaps you are just "Levo'd out". Please let us have your symptoms and any blood results and let us have a look - you are not going to give up - there's lots of help hereXX
Thanks for your reply.
I went hper 7 months ago ,have hashimotos, was on 150 mcg Thyroxine.I was very ill.
My TSH was 0.01 t4 26.
I have never felt well with low TSH.
I then decreased thyroxine down to as low as 100mcg one day and 75 mcg the next.
I then slowly raised thyroxine to 125 mcg ,but TSH 0.11 and felt hyper again. On 112.5 mcg daily now and still feel like death.
Was on Teva make thyroxine for years and reasonable, they got withdrawn and it took me all of last year and 3 makes to find a make that suited me,then WHAM !hyper and not been right since.
I have been reading and researching about t3 and NDT.
Going to GP Tuesday to ask for t3 t 4 blood test to see f I am converting.
I am taking Selinium and vit d.
I am sorry you are feeling quite unwell. Unfortunately, it does take time. It is complicated with hashi's as you can have ups and downs caused by the thyroid gland either sending out too much or too little hormones.
This is a book some have found helpful.
