I think it would be great if they invented a TSH prick test hand held machine ,like they have for diabetics,does anyone know if possible

My brother as diabetes and i have said to him i wish i could control my levo like that ,if you did the prick test on your good you would know what range is right for you ,it would be a brill idea

Probably won't be available for a long time - and may be too costly even when it does.

I'd rather have FT4 and FT3 myself! But perhaps TSH would be a started?

I too have wished there was a self test for Thyroid - I suppose TSH would be a start but it would tell me very little as my TSH is usually suppressed and therefore like the majority of thyroid sufferers we would need to know our FTs 3&4. Unlike diabetics I'm thinking that the majority of thyroid patients are certainly women and of middle age- perhaps that's a reason as to why there are more Endocrinologists with their area of interest primarily in diabetics rather than thyroid problems.....maybe I'm being a bit unfair?!!

Yes I would love DIY fT3 and fT4 tests too - TSH is useless in my case too - always <0.02.
