Always get copies of your thyroid gland blood test results, complete with the ranges, for your own records. Ask for a print-out of your latest and post on a new question for comments.

50mcg is a starting dose and should be gradually increased about every six weeks until your clinical symptoms subside..

Hi Thyr, I have read the Stop the Thyroid Madness website for years and Mary Shomon before that.stopthethyroidmadness.com/l... They can answer many questions if you use the search.

But after many years, I have discovered a new theory with us Hypothyroids if you have been labeled as a Hashimoto.

Is that your diagnosis? From these videos, there are many causes underlying this autoimmune disease which Endocrinologists often do not bother to determine. Often they just prescribe T4 which may or may NOT work for your particular cause. This is one that would probably apply more to a female but you can link on any of the many he talks about. youtube.com/watch?v=BwWqj1E...

Actually I only got tested as reassurance - was told I just had virus, post viral symptoms, needed a holiday so goT a call to collect prescription!
