58, diiagnosed hypo 6 wks ago. 50mg thyroxine. Blood now normal. Still feel awful, sore, stiff joints, lethargy. When shd I feel better?

Always get copies of your thyroid gland blood test results, complete with the ranges, for your own records. Ask for a print-out of your latest and post on a new question for comments.

50mcg is a starting dose and should be gradually increased about every six weeks until your clinical symptoms subside..

Actually I only got tested as reassurance - was told I just had virus, post viral symptoms, needed a holiday so goT a call to collect prescription!
