I`m thinking of using ginseng to help strengthen my immune system, & boost my energy levels. I`m wondering, has anyone on this site tried this supplement, & did it have any adverse effects with Levothyroxine?

As far as I can see there are no interactions between both but you must take supplements 4 hours apart from levothyroxine.

You do not say if that is Korean or Siberian Ginseng - two apparently similar but somewhat different things. Make sure you know that you are looking at the one that you think will help and not the other one!
Cannot help further, sorry.

I know many people take ginseng without problem but my experience of both the Korean and Siberian varieties has been chronic insomnia and palpitations, so it would be worth being aware of that possibility.
I have been taking Korean ginsing for a couple of weeks and am finding I have more energy with it. But it from one of the bargain shops (quality save b&m etc) as it's miles cheaper than pharmacy/supermarket. Not seen and adverse affects but have moved Levo to taking that mid morning and these I take first thing.
Do you have hashimotos? Its trial and error if you do. Boosting an already inflamed immune system may make you feel worse. Look up th1 or th2 dominance - we are one or the other and there is a list of things that are beneficial. I find Siberian gingsing really helpful and don't have adverse reactions. Start off gently. There is a great supplement by bioforce called maleforte - it's for men but I use it because it doesn't contain iodine and has a good amount of selenium and Siberian gingsing which are particularly good for hashi.
Maleforte is made by Biocare and they have recently changed the ingredients in order to target male health more successfully. The new formula contains Iodine & Korean Ginseng. There of course may be some old formulae still about. I rang Biocare to confirm this.
I know - it really is impossible. I've looked up loads of different makes - if they don't contain Iodine then there is a Soya input of some sort or Iron. As Hashimotos seems to be so much more prevalent it is a shame that no company has thought to offer a supplement containing all that is helpful to the Hypothyroids!!
I've just bought the bootea 14 day detox all herbs come from Brazil China and India
One of the ingredient is ginseng root is that ok with under active throw as I take thyroxine
