To be sure, I would ring the laboratory and ask them.

(If you pushed me to guess, I'd say no, you don't need to fast. But for goodness sake, don't rely on my guess.)

I am hypothyroid and had parietal anti bodies drawn a few weeks ago but didn't have to fast.Would it be any different for hyperthyroid?

I alway's fast before having my bloods taken and try and have the earliest appointment I can get with 'the vampire'...as she calls herself.I also try not to do anything before going to the appointment. This is just a personnal thing has I feel you get a more accurate reading of your tsh levels.
