Hi Mary, I don't think Louise has seen your question.

You are right in that when first beginning levothyroxine, your TSH begins to drop to a certain level. It would remain at that level (which may not make you feel well) until your GP increases the dose gradually until your clinical symptoms diminish and you feel better. You should also have frequent blood tests (about every six weeks) until you feel better with clinical symptoms improving or diminishing altogether. Some GP's keep their patients 'within normal range' which doesn't always suit a person so your levo should be raises till you feel better altogether.

Always get copies of your blood test results complete with ranges, so that you can post them on a new question if necessary.

Thank you. I think so as well. I just have myself worried that I may drop to low and I am already taking the lowest dose possible of levo. I am sure it won't but I came down so quickly and feel like I am still coming down. Doc did not think 25mcg would put a dent in it,but it did. 94 to 32 in just two weeks. I need to be comfortable with my meds that is a problem I am having.
