Wheat intolerance and inability to convert T4.

Is it true that wheat intolerance and the inability to convert T4 are linked and does this suggest liver problems?x

I'm currently being tested for wheat intolerance and also looking at T3 levels. ive been on thyroxine for nearly 25 years (Hashimotos at 17) - And all the old symptons are back again... I was pregnant 2 years ago ( for 3 months - pregnancy stopped due to complications) and it appears that this state of body has kicked started a wheat intolerance which also seems to have interfered somehow to my thyroid management... I'd be very interested to hear others ideas on this and will let you know my blood results... Weird

My endo is sending me to a gastro as he thinks I have gut issues. I have been low in almost every vitamin important to thyroid sufferers and am showing signs of other gut issues.

I did go gluten free for 5 months earlier in the year and did notice a big difference but, due to my GP keeping me under medicated for a month and putting on 3/4 of a stone in just two weeks I got really disheartened and started eating wheat again.

I have, in the past, had certain liver results out of range but don't know if this is linked.

I remember my mum became hypothyroid at the age of 50 and had a lot of intolerances including her makeup and skin products. I am hypothyroid and have awful intolerance to gluten which I stay off usually, then maybe have it again until it gives me cramps and I know it's time to detox!
