Am starting on Armour - Should I do the CT3M way of dosing straight away? Do I need a cortisol test before doing this?

Hi No but you do need a TSH, T4 and Free T3 test and retest after 6 weeks, In an ideal world you would have an Adrenal test, the special one through an Endo, not one on line as you would need cortisone on a script. In practice unless Adrenals suspicious, when thyroid treatment established if not right, then the same adrenal Test most Endo`s will not treat adrenals until thyroid stable on blood tests and still feel ill, then a retest.for Adrenals This is because treatment with cortisone not advisable unless really needed.
