I do know that iodine deficiency can cause that, I am not saying that you should supplement with it, just saying it does that.
I'd be happy not to sweat
PS I sweat very little anyway
It's possibly low testosterone. Have you had that checked? Do you have any hair under your arms? If you are hypo, it's not unlikely that you have low testosterone because when one hormone is out of sync, a lot of the others often are.
Hugs, Grey
Make sure for the thyroid you had essential TSH, T4 and Free T3 tested. Ask for a print out of the results with the ranges, receptionist..It may give a different picture, quite often now GP`s only test for tSH not enough(cost). Also all the other hormonal tests important and relevant.
Best wishes,
Jackie
Not sweating was one of my symptoms before being diagnosed underactive 6 years ago ...... I thought it was just me. Since being medicated and starting a military style outdoor fitness class, I sweat lots, it was a bit of a shocker at first as hadn't realised just how long I hadn't. Still a constant battle with weight and brain fog, I'm not sure my meds are correct but it's such a hassle going backwards and forwards to GP. xx
I am the same, never sweat even when the weather is warm. I have raynauds and my hands are permanently cold, haven't been able to dispose of gloves just yet.I feel I am under medicated but as we all know it's having an understanding doctor who will listen to our symptoms and not lab numbers.x

Not sweating very definitely can be caused by insufficient thyroid hormone. 'Diminished sweating' is listed here:
thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/about_...
The summer before I was diagnosed as severely hypo, everyone was complaining of the heat and yet I was cold, unable to sweat, and unable to get a sun tan! Since being on a sensible dose of thyroid hormone, my sweating ability came back (darn it, I have to buy deodorant again!)
However, anhidrosis (inability to sweat) can have other causes too, so if your GP says it's not due to your thyroid, he/she should be investigating the other causes.
I didn't sweat before I was diagnosed.
Its also a symptom of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia.
I sweat normally now - not too much but definitely more than I used to. I'm sure that not sweating was a sign of untreated Hypothyroidism but I wasn't aware of it at the time.
Oh and I'm also not as cold as used to be.
I never sweated before being treated for underactive. Now I do when I exercise. I used to faint in hot weather because my body didn't cool itself down by sweating. This went on for years but I didn't realise it was underactive thryoid until I started taking thyroxine and things became more normal.
