Hi Miley, Thyroid cancer - unlike most other cancers - does not discriminate by size so i would push for another scan/biopsy, maybe visit a different doctor for a second opinion! Especially if it is highly suspicious, hope this helps! :)

Hi

Mine was 19mm on the edge of my Right lobe and then 1 surgeon sourced a teeny bit in left lobe. Thyroidectomy done with removal of 12 right lymph nodes. Two were infected.

Has the biopsy been classified Papillary, Medulla or another. Papillary cancer is slow growing but it won't go away.

I had no lump but I had an ischaemic stroke (tiny clot in my left frontal lobe - brain.

AF discovered and the clear carotid arteries showed a shadow on my thyroid.

Is she Hypo or hyper thyroid. with her TSH level.

I would have it checked 6 mthly if she is going wait.

Ugh I wouldn't wait.

My only symptoms were sweating profusely in summer and not being able to regulate it, on exertion had to stop but these are AF irregularly heart beat problems.

So thyroid problems gave me AF which in turn gave me a stroke.

You don't want that.

I take 125mg Synthroid early daily without food 1 hour.

Don't kill the thyroid by RAI. No. Surgery is best. No pain and apart from having a mono voice for 4 months I surfaced well.

Almost 4 years down track I have my neck scan in February.

I keep my TSH @ 1.5 - 2.5 with instructures from top USA Surgeon Gary Clayman and my Surgeon here - we both found that we were following same advice.

Take care, JOY. 74. (NZ)
