Throat soreness

I had a hemithyroidectomy 4 days ago and I was expecting a sore throat but mine seems sorer each day rather than easing off. Swallowing is painful too so wondered if anyone else has experienced this. Don’t know if this is normal or I’m being to impatient ?

Maybe a bit of both. I had mine removed Oct. 11,2018 . I felt wonderful when I came to and the next day, but the throat + aches a bit all over on day after that. Walking around helped take my mind off of that. After all throat still hurts off and on. That's a little normal for me around Oct.through mid Dec. anyway.
