I have stopped taking it as I re-read the leaflet and it said do not take if you are over 40! (I am 55). It didn't seem to help the diahorrea anyway. Going to see my doctor this week and get some advise about it. Have given up coffee, fizzy drinks and artificial sweeteners and I think this has definitely helped. Bit concerned about my diet as I'm getting nowhere near my 5 a day, can't cope with the fruit.

Its particularly bad on a Saturday afternoon when I'm out for lunch and shopping with friends so I am managing that with immodium though pharmacist says I shouldn't use it as a preventative measure. Going on holiday in a couple of weeks hence the visit to the DR's to see if there is an alternative.

I have been taking Immodium for 15 years,it hasn't done me any harm, but I don't abuse it.Just take it when I go out socially and want to have a good time without the worry.

Hi, did you have a pleasant holiday. Any alternative advice from doctor.

Hi, guess what. Last year was prescribed Audmonal in July but next day had failed colonoscopy and was in lots of pain. On getting home must have forgot capsule as found them upstairs not used yesterday. Again like ginger I wasnt told anything, perhaps we are meant to understand it was for IBS which suppose is reasonable. Havent read info that is if in box...gp never asked like in years ago, Are the meds helping. Couldnt believe the pain let me forget prescription was given. So any news about others prescribed same.

No information in box Audmanol 60 so wouldnt have taken without details of possible effects good or bad.

Making progress due to rabeprazole 20mg, hardly need it now also going lactose free and dairy, so not unduly bothered now.

Yes they changed me to this without consulting me. Boots phoned my gp and said they couldn't get it.
