Bear with just needed to have a good moan! Was about to go up the road to visit a friend just putting my shoes on and stomach cramps several trips to the loo later (not diarrhea) the only place i'm going is the sofa! (always feel rotten for a time after) I have mostly IBSC although I go fairly regularly every few days I get this, ( i know constipation can behave like this) sometimes it leaves me alone for several weeks of peace but for the last couple of years it's been getting worse and my social life is often out the window sound familiar anyone?

All too familiar. My life has totally changed due to IBS, absolutely nothing can be guaranteed.
I’m sorry you’re experiencing this - it really is rotten and difficult to navigate. I’m exactly the same - life has changed completely but I try to make the most of the good days when I can. I also try to adapt activities to suit my IBS like having my friend come to my house to catch up, going to places with easy bathroom access, planning driving trips around bathroom stops 👍🏼
Yes all too familiar, my life was adapted many many years ago, and you just have to work around it. Overall, I'm actually better now than I was when it first started. I think accepting that lifes not going to be normal again helps and I adapt my life to suit. Learning whats the best diet takes years, trying this and that, keeping fit is a huge part and keep anxiety and stress low. I know it's nothing sinister now, that was a big worry for years, but now, I know it will pass and I can make the most of good days. Take Care 😉
All too familiar. Good tips here and I would only add be careful what you eat before planning to go anywhere especially the night before. I keep things very plain. It's very annoying but I've found its the only way to cope.Hope you feel better soon.
