So Endoscopy day today ....

So it's endoscopy day today ... really not looking forward to this, rather nervous .... tips/advice anyone ??

I've never had an endoscopy so don't know anything much about it. I imagine by now it's done and dusted? I only just saw your thread. I hope everything went well and it wasn't too bad to get through? Wishing you all the best.

The best thing is to stay calm & concentrate on your breathing. I have regular endoscopies due to having a medical condition literally every 6 months. The worst part is when they first put it in & them if you have sedation you will not really remember much of it. Good luck you will be fine

Agree with bally15 concentrate on your breathing and I asked for light sedation(Fentanyl). It was over before I knew it. Good Luck 🍀

Managed without the sedation just took all advice and zoned in on my breathing .. worked a treat!

I’ve had several endoscopies an the sedation doesn’t work for me so next time I will need a double dose!
