They are totally different meds so unless the instructions say otherwise you can.

I intended to take Senna, being natural, etc. My friendly Chemist asked me why, I told them that I was recently diagnosed with Diverticulosis, of the explosive kind but had now been "clogged" up for 5 days and thought a natural product was the best option to get things moving again. She told me it was not a good idea as one of the natural elements of Senna is an irritant so it could cause more harm than good. I think if you have a healthy colon, then the impact would be minimal but as I have an existing issue, not a good idea. The following day I naturally got rid of the problem thankfully. Good luck with whatever you choose to do,

I’ve heard that rhubarb contains a form of senna making it a good choice to have. Having apple and rhubarb juice (apple for the fibre) might help x

they do have a Senna Tea, it’s not a bad tasting drink. It doesn’t have the additives that the capsules have. To answer your question though, I have not had problems with senna. It helped me to go for quite a while till I stopped using to try a different prescription med to see the results of that.
