I have a colonoscopy scheduled for tomorrow at 2pm. they want an Advance Directive, no jewelry, nothing personal. It is for if I die!

I’m in the UK, I don’t remember about personal belongings, because it was a few years ago, but don’t worry, just leave them safe at home, in case they get lost or caught on something. I had a small rucksack with me, which I tripped over on the way into the operating room! Good luck with everything Xxx

Don’t worry they always say leave valuables at home , it’s the same here in the UK x

I've never done 1 of those for that before!!! Are they being over cautious? Or is it standard for USA when you have a sedative?

It's not for that reason at all. Anything metal can effect the machines, other personal stuff is probably because they don't want to be liable for any possible theft while you have your procedure

No jewelry is for your protection They’re not responsible, plus the machines contain radiation.
