Has anyone tried kombucha with IBS? I wondered if it might help with the bacteria in the stomach

Kombucha
I tried Kombucha, but it made my symptoms much worse because I am histamine intolerant and fermented products are high in histamine. Histamine may be a trigger for IBS flare ups, but Kombucha and other other fermented food like Kefir have been reported to help some people with IBS. I'm afraid that everyone's physiology and gut microbiota are different and it usually comes down to trial and error in finding whay works for you.
I tried Kombucha, it didn’t help me, but I didn’t take it for very long. I did buy kefir on line which worked out very expensive, again I didn’t take it for a long time so found no improvement. I am now making my own milk kefir, ( even though I can’t tolerate lactose ) which doesn’t up set my tummy, been using it about 9 months, I think things are slowly improving with my gut, but I’m going to continue making it as it is full of good nutrients as well as friendly bacteria 😊
Have you tried water kefir? You can buy water kefir grains and make your own, the bacterial cultures feed on the sugar in water infused with fruit juice or plain sugar. If you have problems with sugars, the final drink is low in sugar because the bacteria use most of it up
Most bacteria in kombucha, kimchi sauerkraut tends to die in the gut, I love all three and eat them most days but purely for taste. Out of all the products, Greek yogurt has been proven to be most beneficial.
