Hope everyone is well! I just had a quick query to see if anyone else had experienced similar. I had my first dose of the pfizer jab Saturday. I didn’t really have any side effects although later that evening I was stuck on the loo with really bad diarrhoea for 2 hours or so and am convinced it’s from the jab. Since then it is slowly getting better but not like I was before I feel it’s going to take time as the jab really did effect my gut! Did anyone else have anything similar and any advice if they took something to help would be great.
Thanks !

I had the AstraZeneca and I was extremely gassy for about 5 days after the jab. I keep a food diary and I didn't introduce any new foods that week so it could only have been down to the jab. After the 5 days I was completely back to normal. I think the jab can affect people in different ways, but normally anything it triggers tends to be over within a week.
Burping a lot sounds like upper stomach problem like gastritis or gallbladder or just indigestion ! If you’re having chills too I would get a doctors app if you can and remember stress will make it worse x
I had it for about 2/3 weeks after jab it did settle down so hopefully will yours don’t let it put you off having 2nd jab it will go away don’t worry x
My IBS and stomach problems got worse after the second jab. People just think I am imagining it but I know my system. It might well be the jab that has changed things for you. hope you feel better soon
Thanks for the reply mine was certainly from the jab nothing else had changed I have been doing a strict diet so it must of been things seem to be getting slowly better though. Thanks again for responding
Upset stomach was definitely part of my AstroZeneca reaction, but much worse after the first shot than after the second. It took me about six days to completely recover from the first one, second was much quicker. Good luck with your next one.
I had my first Pfizer jab a couple of weeks ago. I had a very upset stomach about 4 hours afterwards. I think, with IBS our stomachs are ultra sensitive to everything already so if it’s going to affect anything it’s likely to be that. I’ll be booking leave for my second jab as I felt nauseous for the rest of the day too.
