Bleeding post colonoscopy

I had colonoscopy 12 days ago and am still bleeding heavily everyday when I go to the toilet and defecate. Its painless and I have no other symptoms except feeling a bit weaker than usual. They removed a polyp and I assume that's the cause of the bleeding but not sure what to do next or how long it is normal to bleed from rectum after colonoscopy.

1st is to get in touch with the colonoscopy team. It may well be perfectly normal, but if in doubt call them and give details. I would assume you wont get a reply until Monday. I wish you well

Thank you for your reply. Bleeding stopped yesterday. Scary as nurse suspected sepsis and ended up in A&E but hopefully all good going forward.
