I would avoid Chinese food as a lot of it is vegetable heavy. I know vegetables cause me issues but everybody is different.

If it were me I would avoid Chinese food, but then again I can’t even have it on a good day. Lol. If you must have it I would stick to plain rice and some sort of plain grilled lean meat.

My worst bugbare is onions, they can come through me in 2 hours or less! Chinese and Indian have onions as their base!

You really have to find this out for yourself as a process of elimination as all of us are different. Keep a food diary and try the FODMAP

If you have to ask, then you know the answer is no. But then again, maybe, you like the idea of a full on flare? If you are serious about what to avoid, then the answer is simple, everything that does or could upset you, including, but not limited to, fizzy drinks, alcohol nuts and sweetcorn

In that case, I apologise, I thought that you were trying to take the p8$$, but I also wanted to give you some advice. (hedging my bets a bit there). Normally people say if they are a newbie, so people like me don't go too hard on them, but you're more than welcome to ask away.

See if you can get yourself referred to a dietician or find a Fodmop app or food list. It is difficult to be strict, but worth it in the end.

Agree with Nuttycatlady. It's not as easy as saying chinese, or any regional food category, is the cause. Most people with IBS are sensitive to food groups and if that is the fodmap group then onion is a common trigger-food. Chinese, Indian uses onion wildly - which is why it is so easy to make these assumptions.

Definitely find a dietitian if your GP can refer or you can afford one privately. The fodmap apps are a good start also, some of them have a food diary function - and your dietitian will require that from you as part of their consultative process anyway.

Hope you find the culprit and get on top of the symptoms!

No! Its as simple as that and below u asked about indian again no!

It to oily and fat contents high plus alot of dairy and gluten in there, garlic, onions....

I mean absolutely everything u cant have....

Im afraid with ibs come blandish foods...

U really need to look at a

FODMAP, or just have a diary and put every u eat down that day, if it flares up u cant eat it...

I know i cant any foods that have high oil and fat contents, no onions, no garlic , no gluten ...

Or cream.

I also eat little and often so im not over clogging ur digestive system..

And take probiotics and peppermint capsules to keep a healthy bacteria in gut...

Also bread and stodge is NOT GOOD AT ALL.

It just case of eating little and often and keep it healthy

I always take 2 imodium 3 hours before I eat in a restaurant. I occasionally go to Chinese and Indian Restaurants and do same with Imodium. Mostly works but they do have a lot of additives in that aren’t good for IBS sufferers.

Take care x
