Hi, yes it does and when I am having a flare up all I want to do is sleep.

Oh yes. I always say it's like my soul just got flushed down the toilet when I have a bad bout of it.

Hello Laundretta, yes it does. My IBS makes me feel drained and exhausted. The effect is beyond tired. Can't suggest any answers other than try to treat yourself kindly, sleep when you need to during a flare up and keep warm if the tummy troubles make you feel shivery. I try to keep up regular gentle exercise and make the most of 'good days' but sometimes end up doing so much to compensate that I feel worn out again. I have recently managed to reduce some stressful parts of my life and that seems to have helped both the fatigue and the IBS- well so far anyway.

All the best.
