Anxiety and IBS

Hey guys. Just wanted to share I recently fractured my ankle. Have a cast. This is causing me anxiety which in turn is triggering my IBS-d. It’s painful to use the washroom with a fractured leg. This in turn is causing me more anxiety. Sorry just wanted to vent. Thank god no pain though. Just gas and d. Being good and following the FODMAP diet to the T.

So glad. I am soon scheduled for some hip joint surgery & also have IBS d, so am concerned about exactly what you mention. Hope Fodmap diet is helping you. It does help me, although not completely (about 50%).

FODMAP helps me. Also my symptoms are not sever. They are mild so I guess that’s is why FODMAP works for me.

Good luck with that, b1b1b1. I'm in a similar situation, but with my surgery months down the road, due to other problems.

Thank you. It is coming up soon, so quite anxious and that does not help the IBS. I will let you know how it goes.

Yes, please do keep us informed. Do keep a watch out for those retched DVTs after your 'hip op'.
