Turmeric
Hi, I just posted, (you may be able to find it "what home remedies have you found to help with IBS-C). Someone mentioned Turmeric. I have never heard this before..so will have to Google. I got quite a few replies where Turmeric was mentioned but I think it was for IBS-C? Have you tried Bentyl or Levsin..they are prescription meds.
Hey, rice cooked in turmeric is always my 'safe' food! Turmeric has lots of health benefits and always good to add to the diet.xx
Nit thought of that combination. Will definitely try it.
I always add to soups too! In fact if you google turmeric lattes you can make a drink of it!?? I've not tried it myself but have heard it's a nice drink!xx
I hadn't either. But I do know that a good curry (which has turmeric in ) usually sorts my tummy out if it is playing up! I also suffer from RA and turmeric is supposed to be good against the associated inflammation so I might kill two birds with one stone by trying Flik22's suggestion.
I recently started taking Turmeric and can't believe how much it has helped both C and D. No stomach discomfort and having normal bowel functions is something I have not done for years. Had been feeling really desperate prior to starting with Turmeric and now can't believe how much better and how much energy I have now. I also drink Aloe Vera drink which I think is also calming. Holland Barratt now have Turmeric capsules with pepper included which is supposed to be more beneficial so when I have finished the Turmeric capsules that I have I will move on to the pepper one, It's been like a miracle. Hope it works for you.
Good luck.
