I’m now worried that because I can’t go to the toilet much I have a blockage? I am able to go a bit so does that mean I haven’t got one?Constantly Googling and it’s a sign of bowel cancer. I’ve got flu like symptoms so today I’m beginning to think this is the start of me deteriorating. I know this may sound silly but it’s hard to not think like this x

Please try not to worry. It seems to be very common to be anxious when you have IBS. Sometimes we all need a little help to move things along. You can ask at the chemist or doctor if it goes on for too long. It is more common than you think. Just another fun side of IBSC. I am more prone to IBSD myself. Neither way is pleasant. Good luck.
I well understand the worry associated with not being able to 'go' , it sets up a negative cycle which is really hard to break. I bet you worry about taking a laxative in case you end up with diarrhea too! If you heard someone telling you all that you have described I bet you would say something along the lines of"be kind to yourself and try not to worry" . In the meantime put your mind at rest by making an appointment with the doctor to investigate your fear of bowel cancer and then go out with a pal and have a jolly good laugh!
