I have read on here it has lactose in it, no good for first stages of IBS

I used it years ago and it worked for me.

I should be taking one 20 minutes before I eat but I find one in the morning is suffice as I also take omeprazole.

Yes I agree Mebeverine is helpful for IBS -d not c .Need to take twice a day before meals for several days before an improvement.

If your version of IBS is the constipation type (IBS-C) be cautious about antispasmodics like mebeverine & buscopan. this type of med is contraindicated in IBS-C because antispasmodics can further slow bowel transit. Antispasmodics are most helpful in cases of IBS-D (IBS of the diarrhoea type)
