i am n ew here had ibs some years ago but has now returned have been eating tomatoes andit appears they are the problem as they find there way into internal pockets, iamsuffering daily with sore stomach and frequent trips to toilet

Oh thank you for this, i eat a lot of tomatoes, this could be the culprit.

Tomatoes were the same for me, it might take a bit of time for them to go out of your system then hopefully you will feel better.

Some people find that removing the skin from the tomatoes can help. You plunge them BRIEFLY into boiling water and leave for around 10 seconds only before removing them. The skin then peels off very easily with sharp knife.

Bit of a fag but if you love your tomatoes.....!

thank you all for your suggestions -to be on the safe side I will no longer eat tomatoes

Probably the skins, Diverticulitis has pockets , IBS doesn't
