REALLY flaring up over the last year. My speciality is bloating and trapped wind which totally drains me. It also creates a nausea . I've some lifestyle adjustments to make for sure and maybe further medical testing. Just think chatting with fellow sufferers would be helpful. So.....hello!

Hi thanks for replying. I've Buscopan , peppermint oil and I've cut down on bread and large meals . I'm going to Dr in a couple of weeks and will hopefully get some tests done. I also suspect my "party" years are at an end! How about you?
Haha - yes I know what you mean! I do try to be a bit rock and roll on occasions though!! I found peppermint was horrendous for me - and the elimination diet a dietitian put me on said mint was a trigger in some people which surprises me as a lot of " medicines" for stomach issues are mint!!
Buscupan is with me where ever I go! Take it the second I get a niggle and until recently it worked pretty quickly ( 20 mins) so that's a good start! I don't know how I would have coped these past 2 weeks without it after suffering the tummy bug going round work. It has only taken the edge off at the moment but I'm off to gp on Thursday to see what else I can do to help myself recover a bit quicker!!

Yeah know what you mean!! Waking at stupid times in night in pain - days struggling to concentrate at work in pain and slumping in front of tv instead of out at gym or doing some kind of exercise getting healthy like I used to do !!
Can you get your appointment sooner? Don't under estimate how you feel - get help sooner if you can
Are you on a low fodmap diet?
Working on FODMAP principles without being too strict....might have to be though.
I've been following fodmap for 2 weeks - has helped i think!! Didn't know one of my staples - mushrooms was an issue!! I can't eat fruit but thought watermelon would be safe as hey it's water isn't it!! But nope!! Water chestnuts and bomboo shoot with rice noodles and chicken are okay!
You really need to know what triggers you to feel poorly and just eliminate if causes you problems!! It's hard going but at end of day do you want to eat to be okay or just eat what you want and be poorly!!
Hi. I also feel like my bloating and constipation is caused by eating too many fruits. Did you do any test to determine the cause or did you just notice which food is causing the problem?
If you get any tests done ask for one for Dysbiosis.
Hi. I know bloating is grim from first hand experience. It took me ages to find out I am intolerant to all things dairy. It seems so obvious now. Worth a try if you haven't already done so. Good luck.
Hi you def need to look at your diet and see what your triggers are most of mine of drinks - fizzy, fruit juice, alcohol etc or gassy vegetables also lactose. I take mebeverine 3 times a day before meals which help they are prescribed. I also find rennie deflatine helps for the bloating and gas but I don't think you can take this ongoing only as and when. X
I have had IBS fir 10 years, been gradually getting worse. Lost 6 stone which made no difference. I have done diet after diet. Did a special SIBO diet privately for 1 1/2 months with natural antibiotic but no difference. I did a breath test for SIBO and is present in well above normal readings but Dr doesn't want to give me antibiotic as i dont have diorehha.
Just lately have got worse, stomach upset all time, bloated and have what feels like panic attacks, but can't be as my pulse is normal just body tingles tight chest, acid like down throat. And feel starving all the time.
Dr wants me to see a nutritionist but unless they have a miracle diet I haven't tried not hopeful.
I have been on the Fodd map diet for nearly 2 years. It works. I would try this. I have found out am intolerant to garlic, onions, wheat and lactose. I didn't test everything as I was supposed to but I did enough to settle my stomach and bloating. Occasionally get if I go out but so rarely if I avoid the right things.
