Having D and possibly being diagnosed as microscopic colitis , I am concerned about lack of nutrients as I have had the condition for nearly a year. I eat well but I know the condition has taken its toll!

My question is whether or not to take a multivitamin and if so how do I choose a good one -there are so many ! I would be grateful for help, THANKYOU.

According to my Pharmacist, even though he should be selling what's on his shelves, none of them are worth spending money on.

So go see your GP/Gastroentrologist ,see if they will give you a prescription for one.

I suffer with D too & take a multivitamin daily, although I eat a balanced diet I do feel most food rushes through without nutrients being absorbed. I usually take Boots own brand or Healthspan.

ensure, boost for immediate use. Then go to a healthfood store and look for something similiar. I use a small rice milk vanilla protein shake. Then stop the ensure, etc. Ensure has too many bad chemicals. Stick with health food store for other packets of protein drinks. Some are vegan and gluten free.
