Antispasmodics such as Buscopan or Colofac are said to be good.

Buscapan is no use if the pain is unbearable

I don't know if you have seen a dietician. mother was told to eat regularly, with fibre but not too much of it. Nothing with seeds pips or skins, so no beans or peas. Strawberries raspberries etc and seeded breads, nuts are out too. the little bits get caught in the little pockets of the intestines apparently. Hope that helps x
