After eating I get a dull pain in the centre of my chest. It's as if my oesophagus is not processing my food. It makes me very tired.

do you get indigestion, or acid reflux (acid and or bits of food coming back up) or heart burn, if so it could be a hiatus hernia.

i suggest drinking plenty of water to try and flush the food down into your stomach. make sure you are chewing properly and take your time with your food.

if u do have hiatus hernia - as the reply above suggests' you should try betaine HCl and pepsin supplements for a month or two.

I agree with Rogerbear - reads like it could be acid reflux. I'd go to your Dr and he will probably try you with some reflux medication. It can be effective and may stop you feeling so tired. Reflux can affect the quality of your sleep. There is a risk it could be something else but your Dr can ask you the right questions to figure out what it is most likely to be.
