Pain subsides after a couple of days, makes you feel weak and nauseous ?

Yeah, I get that from time to time. Had it so bad a while back I had to go to the ER. They gave me a morphine shot to help with the pain. Since that attack, I have had ultrasounds done, HIDA scan, blood work, and nothing. No stones, gallbladder works fine, pancreas and liver enzymes normal, I was really feeling confused, so I decided to visit a nutritionist that my grandparents recommended and she told me about the FODMAP diet. It is basically a disorder that makes it where you can't break down short chain carbs and they ferment in your gut causing all kinds of problems. Been on the diet and taking good probiotics and feel no pain. I had daily discomfort in my lower right side and now it's gone. Don't know if that is what is going on with you, but it's worth a shot. You only have to maintain the diet for 6 weeks, then you slowly start reintroducing foods from the do not eat list and see how you react to them. I found the best list of foods to eat/ avoid on Stanford's site. Just google FODMAP. Good luck.

Hi all. Yes I get pain right hand side that goes through to my back. Stomach too that pulls me down and feel weak and sick. Just been in hospital with a bad flare up. Had X-ray's stomach and chest and bloods taken and ultra scans. Liver pancreas gall bladder fine. Nothing found thank God but sent home and still got it all. Gets you down and ongoing worry .

Also look up on YouTube for a video showing how you can massage the area.

Yes, I get the same, pain, lumpy area in my side, nausea and usually mucus too. I had a scan and colonoscopy. It can sometimes be to do with your ileocecal valve apparently, it can sometimes get "stuck" open or closed causing c or d. I alternate between bouts of both. Sometimes it can make you feel really ill and shakey. Mine get worse when stressed or pmt time.
