Today we have launched a world's first service for newly diagnosed cancer patients; Tenovus Cancer Callback.

• Are you receiving cancer treatment in Wales?

• Do you have any questions about cancer?

• Would you like to be able to talk to someone any day of the week?

If you’ve answered ‘yes’ to any of these then our new Cancer Callback scheme could really help. It offers support to every cancer patient in Wales going through treatment, regardless of where they live, the type of treatment or type of cancer they have

Once you’ve registered your details with us (or asked your healthcare professional to sign up for you) one of our specialist Cancer Callback nurses will phone you at one week, one month and six months at a time which suits you. You can talk for as long as you want and we’ll try to answer all of your questions about your cancer; no question is too small or insignificant! If you’ve got any questions outside of these calls you can also ring us on our Freephone Support Line – 0808 808 10 10 – anytime between 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. seven days a week.

Our Cancer Callback nurses are trained in giving health and wellbeing advice and can give information about cancer support services that you might need, such as counselling, welfare rights, benefits advice and coping with your cancer. We really hope that our new service will provide and support for people going through cancer treatment.

If you feel that this service could benefit you, or anyone you know, then please get in touch and pass on our number- 0808 808 10 10.

We are extremely grateful to the Burdett Trust for Nursing for funding this project.
