Hi Pp24, I'm sorry you've waited so long for a response. How is your Mother now? Nausea is a common reaction to TB medication but does usually settle down in time. Your Mum may benefit from eating regular, small meals with high protein content (nut butters or dairy are good sources) - as this is a good way to take in calories and the healing energy they provide without overburdening the stomach.

You TB doctor or nurse is best placed to advise on medications that can help with side effects, as you need to take care not to take anything that may react with the TB medication. This is true for pharaceuticals and herbal supplements.

I hope this helps - please let me know if i can offer any more support.

Best wishes,

Helen
