Having had active TB since April 2021, I have finally been discharged from the hospital, after six months of taking antibiotics. I was very strict...stuck to the rules and took the meds at 8.30 each morning on an empty stomach and waited one hour before eating. I would say that the first two months were the worst. I felt generally unwell, not because of the TB, but because of the medication.
I'm glad it's over, but I will always be apprehensive now when travelling to Morocco and India, which are the two countries that I go to regularly. My consultant told me that it is possible to get it again, but unlikely. I can't stop my life for this.
I wish to everyone here....to get well soon!!

Congratulations! It’s a fantastic feeling when you’ve finished treatment. I too was strict so it was great to be able to get up and have tea and toast without waiting an hour. Stay well and enjoy life!
Congratulations! I am on my fourth month medication and cant wait for it to get over. I feel anxious sometimes when i get mild pain in my chest. But doctor said that is a part of healing lungs and might take some time until it is completely gone.
