Questions from new LBT patient

I was thrilled to find others with my condition. Just started my meds and wondering just how sick that I am going to get. Also, if I drink in moderation, is that so bad? I also wear contacts and would like to hear how that has effected others.

Taking TB medication puts a massive strain on your liver, so if you decide to drink on top of your medication, then your liver is at high risk of damage. So my advice to you is don’t touch ANY alcohol at all.

Hi can I ask a quick question how did you come to find out you have latent Tb ? I notice a lot of people have this on here . Hope you don’t mind me asking thanks Sammi xx

For me, I had to have a test fir my new job.

I was tested as a prelude to taking Biologics as I have Crohns Disease. I took Isoniazid for 6 weeks for LTB but had to stop because I suffered badly with side effects.
