I am an American living in Thailand and contracted TB in Jul/Aug. Spent Sep in hospital and Oct in hospice. Returned to apt in early Sept where my strength in hands and legs slowly have returned.
During hospitalization I developed an itchy rash that started in arms and progressed through body including my head/hair. A different type of rash developed in the crotch area and after treatment it went away.
However, the body rash stays with me and seems to be worse in my apt. Have tried anti-itch and anti-rash creams given to me by the dermatologist but nothing working and I don't see him anymore for this.
If you can put me in touch with someone who has had the same experience, I would be very grateful.

I'm surprised you haven't had any responses yet to this. Rashes are a very common side effect of TB treatment. Though it does not make the rash better, take heart from the fact that this demonstrates that the TB medication is taking effect around your body. Such side effects often subside as your body becomes used to the medication.
It is good that you have been in touch with a dermatologist. Have you also discussed this with your TB doctor or Nurse? They may be able to help.
Treatment finished end of March. Itchiness has stopped with use of an antihistamine and red spots slowly disappearing. End of May see Dr for final x-ray of lungs and 2 June I go to Germany for 4 months
Am now in Germany on 12 Jun and the itchiness has moved to my face, hair, and crotch. My beard is like wire but my hair on head is soft. Shaving is like mowing weeds and I still can't get all the beard even though I go over it many times over.
