Updates - Brain Tuberculoma Patient completed 17 months of ATT.

It is to update you that the patient (My wife) completed the course of 17 months but the doctor further suggested to take the medicines up to 24 months in order to complete the full course, the last MRI report was cleared which was done at the end of the 13th months of ATT.

Nevertheless, the doctor also tested the blood for various things among them, patient vitamin D3 was declined to 11 where the normal range was 30-40.

Amalyse has been tested and it was a little bit higher than the upper limit, it was 117 and the normal range is 0-98. then also done Ultrasound and Pancreas, liver, kidney, the gallbladder was in normal shape and condition.

the doctor added some stomach medecine+vitamin D3 capsules and adjusted the anti-TB drug according to the weight. and Tablet indrol for the heart as it was sometimes beating fast and slow.

It worth to tell that patient now takes:

Tab: liverticetam 250mg 1-0-1 controlling seizure, jus for safely in case.

Tab; Rifampicin 450mg and isoniazid 300mg 1-0-0 - anti-Tb drug

Tab Indrol 10mg 1-1-1 For heart beating

Tab: Vita 6 1-0-0 vitamin 6, good for health

Tab: Omeprazole 1-0-0 stomach

capsule Vitamin D3: 1 capsule once a week for 4 weeks after that once a month for 6 months. vitamin D3 deficiency

How does she feel now? Stomach, Dizziness, sometimes get too bad and sometimes disappear, the doctor also recommended tablet Serc 15mg if it does not go by itself.

But the most she suffers from is dizziness and stomach.

My question now is: What to do now to decrease the AMALYSE? and avoid any damage to pancreatitis (Pancreas), Doctor told that if pain increase will do a CT scan of the whole abdomen. Now the patient feels a little pain at the lower area of the stomach, sometimes pain comes and goes by itself. any Recommendation, please.

Thank you in Advance.

Hi Shameedi,

I am glad to hear that your wife if so close now to completing TB treatment. Though the increase in duration must be disappointing this will make sure all the bacteria are gone, so it is a good thing.

I'm afraid that I cannot offer any advice on the amalyse situation, however, as this forum is not staffed by trained medical professionals.

Wishing you all the best for your wife's recovery.
