Hi have you had your liver checked via a blood test to make sure all is well? You could also ask if you are vitamin D deficient. See what your doctor has to say. But stay strong and don’t forget your not alone x

Hi...I am studying in a medical college and I have asked many doctors here about the skin colour. They all have said that once the medicines are stopped the normal skin colour will be back in 3 to 9 months. The red colour or the dark colour of the skin is due to the drug clofamazine which has sulphur component. Due to the reaction occuring of sulfur the colour gets attached toh the epidermis of the skin.so the skin turns red or dark red.once the medication is stopped the reaction also stops.so the body colour gets normal but it takes time

Sorry to hear this. That doesn’t give me a warm and fuzzy felling. I can only hope in time we will feel close to normal again.

Wow that is interesting information thank you. My skin did not turn red but is looks like I have a tan as if I have been out in the sun. Does not seem normal.

I am ok now as far as my lung transplant. But I am upset if this was some kind of mixup or mistake. I feel this TB medicine has really done a number on my body. My gut health is shot. I still am having a difficult time holding onto weight. My muscle mass is gone. I still have anxiety and my eye sight has deteriorated! I have a friend who is helping me try to get back on healthy track, but she says it will take 6 months (the amount of time I was on the TB meds) to get gut health back! She kept sending me articles to read on how bad all of those antibiotics were! If I find out there was a lab mixup and I really did not have TB, I might start a lawsuit.
